Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Originally it was a pack of books but nowadays you can get them all on CD. Nothing to do with Pug, it covers all vehicles. Well worth getting your mitts on!

Sorry to sound dumb but any help would be great.

Chris
It's only available to the trade, not cheap to buy unless you find a copy on *cough* ebay *cough*
Chris; stick a meter across the element and make sure it's not open circuit for starters; otherwise it's a fuse, wiring or relay.
Hi guys
Thanks for the advice i will follow it up one friend said because the switch will not stay in when pressed it is that, that is broken.Oh in case your interested my 406 has done 273331 miles as you can see it,s an early 406 but has a regular sevice the odd thing on the MOT,starts every morning after new glow plugs and travels up and down the m6 44 miles each way every working day. So you can see it,s been a good car.

Nothing so simple I'm afraid; when you press the button it triggers a timer circuit, it's not a permanent switch.

Right, now I have AutoData ( ) I can't actually find any fuse diagrams, just wiring diagrams for the fuse panels with no way of telling what fuse is what and no layout. Am I doing it wrong?
