Suspension unlevel

Had my spring changed recently but have notice that on the passenger side i can get 3 fingers between arch and tyre at the front but on drivers there is a 4 finger gap is this usual

When this happens it's normally because the last little bit of spring has snapped off right at the bottom in the cup bit - it's very hard to see but would produce the difference in level you describe.

I had a look cannot see a break but i only changed the other spring last june and the drivers side was a week or so ago

The new spring should settle down after a while, might take a few weeks.

When I changed my front spring last week I swapped it for a front leg from a breakers due to finances so close to christmas. If you fit new you 'should' change both sides for the very reason you've discovered. Springs sag over time and you end up with a tilt which can affect handling if it's too bad.
