does any1 know if estate interior is same as saloon, i mean the upholstery and the sponge not the frames
obviously the metal frame will be different
i recently fitted D9 interior in my D8 and the rear metal frame was different
wonder if the estate is the same thing,

Re: estate interior
I think the rear seats are mildly different, in what way is your d9 (what spec) interior not fitting in.

Re: estate interior
It isn't. Saloon rear backrest comes as 4 parts - 2 split backrests & 2 outer bolsters. Couldn't say as far as the base goes. I do know that the estate has a metal base to the rear seats that the saloon doesn't, but I don't know if the sponge parts would match. It does come apart quite easily because I had to do this.
Front seats are a straight swap though.

To see what I mean by the backrest, fold the rear seats down in your car & you'll notice that there is still a piece of seat left up where the seatbelts are. In my estate, it is the whole backrest that folds.

Re: estate interior
A major impracticality of the saloon is that the middle seatbelt stays there it could get snagged on something if it was sitting in the boot.

Re: estate interior
Door cards and fronts seats are the only items interchangeable between the saloon and estate.

Re: estate interior
they still get called wing mirrors, at least they still do round here. The bmw 507 had mirrors mounted on the wings.

But that was designed in the 1950's. Let's do the time warp again...

We all know what people mean by it, even if it's wrong.
