Just wondering where everyone thinks the best place to get insurance for the 406? I'm 18 and its a 1.8 so im expecting to pay stupid amounts for the insurance but thats what sets me apart from the other chavs and also its modifiyed hmmmm lots I just wish I could prove to the insurers how carefully I drive! I mean i don't want to scratch my rims! or let any of my shoddy mods fall off only jking
Does 406.co.uk have any special discounts or deals with insurers? or anyone know where to get the best deal?
The only other option is to go on my dads insurance with direct line so I can get the no claims bounus
It seems to be a very personal thing.
I've got insurance quotes for several people and none are with the same company.
Keep searching and try and read the small print.
I'd definitely recommend Confused.com - it doesn't list any specialist insurers but it saved me literally ?500 over Norwich Union Direct, which in turn was saving me ?500 over Direct Line.

this is a good idea used confused.com... but dont get your insurance through them, usethe list itdraws up of the cheapest companies then call them seperatly to get a quote and play them against each other . you will save again

Depends on your dad's circumstances - Mine's not owned a car in years so he's got no no-claims and adding him to my policy would have actually cost a couple of hundred instead of saving money... Or it could have been because we live at different addresses...
To be honest I used to have my mum on my insurance when I lived at home and that knocked it down a load, now I have the wife on as well coz she's a bit older than me and when I checked it she was saving me ?120!!! Not that I told her that of course, I'd have had to spend the day shopping and throw it away on a pair of shoes for her or something!!!
We have a deal with Adrian Flux - mention your a meber, and see what they say!
Nick
Thanks,
Nick
