headlight bulbs

anybody know if headlight bulbs are H4 or H7 before I go and start struggling to get one out ?? (on a D8 that is )cos its a bit bloody cold at the moment to be out there buggering around with stuff , thanks in advance

and also (as it seems very tight space to work in ) has anyone had to do or done this particular little chore ??

They are H7 on my D9. Fairly sure yours are the same. No great tips other than grow small but long fingers with extra joints. Try to replace the covers, helps keep the sh*t and damp out.

well there are H7`s on the D8 , replacement (yet to be fitted )passenger side headlight has bee equipped and with a struggle and skinned knuckle so has drivers side , be all ok once i get springs finally changed :D

its pretty very easy to be honest, its just a case of getting your hand in and unclipping the metal clip then the bulb will just freely come out

H7 is what you need for main beam and dipped beam,

i wud recommend changing them for xenon look a like, they give a much whiter white and not a yellowy white

Dont forget you can unscrew the washer bottle neck to help changing the drivers side.

i can always get my hand in, so all the bulbs are accessable. If they arent i get my trained hamster to go in there and change it.

Do you have a formal escalation procedure, as required under the EU trained rodents directive?

nope, i dont have a hamster any more, havent had one in well over 7 years now, i remember that they were great at chewing through their cages and hiding in the house.

mine have a colour rating of 4000k i think, around 4000k, definately not over

if you see a car coming towards you with glary badly fitted hids do you give full beam back?

here we go again! lol. if you get H7R HIDS in the colour of you choice they will give off no glare as they are dsigned for non projector light units.
