Looking after leather

Post by FarmerPug »

Id appreciate all the old tips and tricks on keeping leather in good nick. At the moment my leather is in good conditon bar a scuff on the drivers seat where you get in, and a scrape in the back. I use these things:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-Sofa-Interior ... 2224wt_987
bought to try and get the colour back but it doesnt seem to work.
http://www.renapur.com/SITE/products_29.asp?catID=3
this keeps the seats nice and soft
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/p ... cream.html
and this keeps the dirt out, does a very good job, you know how grubby cream seats gets, this can get it all out.

But as for getting rid of the scrapes im stumped, ive already bought that pot of stuff and it didnt work, is there something good to get back the original colour, the leather isnt ripped or in bad condition, what does the rest of you use on your leather, anyone ever got rid of scuffs?

you can buy a product from them called scuffmaster

I bought some for my seats
I've yet to use it on the seats, but tested it on the steering wheel, and it covered up the scuffs on that

check out there website

ive seen scuffmaster, id hoped i wouldnt have to spend the £50 for the kit but heck if i fixed the scuffs once, i have the right routine for keeping the leather free from the scuffs coming back.

I didn't buy the kit
bought the scuffmaster seperately and got a larger bottle, especially as I had already bought the cleaner and conditioner

You cannot condition leather, leather has a laqured finish and cannot absorb oils. They sit ontop of the leather and attract more dirt and dust.
This is where I get my leather kit from...
