hes right you should try kick up a bit of a complaint, youve spent £55 on it and its not worked despite stating it should. Thats false advertising.

i will ring them 2moro but cant see them doing anything they will just say its my fault and i have used it on the wrong fabric

i believe that they sprayed a tshirt, or a towell in the video
your seats are fabric, does it specifically say that the product wont work on car upholstery, your seats are defined as fabric. So you should be eligible for a refund because you seem to have been doing everything properly.

but in there sales pitch it says does not rub off so maybe a dodgy batch if you being kind.

here is the important bit:

Not all upholstery will be suitable for spraying with Upholstery Spray. ,We recommend that you carry out a quick test to see if it is suitable to use on your fabric. As a rule of thumb, if water can absorb into the fabric then Simply Spray will too. If your fabric is coated in some way and water cannot absorb into it, then Simply Spray will not work. You can simply pour some water onto the fabric and see if it absorbs into the fabric or if it runs off. We always recommend that you try Upholstry Spray on a small, out of the way, patch of your furniture just to ensure it is suitable, before you spray the full sofa, chair etc.

the rear door cards handles are off and ready to be re-covered

do you think i should go over the doors now or tear off the cloth bit and recover the bare doorcard

£55 is still a significant amount of money, ring/email them with your complaint, you wont know till you ask.

If it'll stick, just go over the top of the cloth. Should make them a bit more padded too.

ye i was thinking go over , it will stick, i will wash it proper with soapy water and a stiff brush

and the spray adhesive i get off my uncle is good stuff
he uses it to stick vinyl floors down

well ive got a formal complaint in with the company, give them a call today and demanded i got my money returned ,
the woman was very helpfull, she required photos of the door cards
so thought i would share the same photo with you guys to get your opinion

the grey light bits are were i washed it very lightly with a wet sponge . ans thats the result now its dry

it shouidnt come of when wet - you have Good cause for Refund!
if they say its come off because youve Wet it dont Fall for it as What wouid happen if you opend the car door in the Rain ,

Hopefully they will re-inburse you as the Shouid imo,

Material is material it shouid have been a good result,

iwonder if theyve sold you old stock -bad batch ?

well im gonna see what they say about it, but if needs be i'll just mention i'm gonna take advice from consumer direct (trading standards)
to see what they say

the woman needed photo evidence today so i await her reply
