It works on all Peugeot and Citroens, available options on things like the bx, and ax are most likely going to be much less because they probably had very limited amount of comuters in them, but in something as laden with ecus, sensors and electro gizmos as a HDI engine the PP2000 should just come with it as standard.

What's that warning light in-between the water-in-diesel light and the glow plug light? I can't make it out :?

Also it is interesting to see that you don't have the side airbag warning - I called it the 'sausage head' light, I think it's Red and looks like a big sausage next to someone sitting in a seat :?

We discussed the sausage light many times on here and some have it, some don't  my car had a sticker on the seat base saying 'Side Air Bag' but no sausage light :| even my local dealer said the same thing and some customers had come in with the sausage on the dash explaining they'd never seen it before in their lives :?

That light you're asking about looks like the "passenger airbag disarmed" light:

(picture from the owners handbook)

the symbol appears to be a child in a rear-facing child seat sitting on the front passenger seat, with the dashboard behind it.

Looks like it could be a light for disabled passenger airbag? I'll have to test mine in a bit and see if it is...

My damn chinese knockoff PP2000 won't do a light test on the instrument cluster, or talk to the immobiliser/central locking/airbag ECUs :( Talks to bugger all but the engine ECU on most D8s too, unlike genuine Lexias which have no problems

Should have bought a proper one...

also mjb was it you who originally said about the autospeed function, did you ever actually get the thing to bleep. Is there any chance of using the pp2000 to add a gearshift indicator onto the mfd?

Couple of suggestions:

1) Rev counter
2) Take note of the complete lack of urge north of 3 - 3.5 k

Someone else turned on the overspeed warning gubbins while doing a cruise upgrade, thinking it was related, then stowed it along with, 'I know a song that'll get on yer nerves'

You can turn traction control on? Does it actually work?

I very much doubt it. AFAIK it was never an original option, so the hardware, (if any)? may not be present.

Could be wrong though as I believe you could get ESP on coupe HDi's, though this needs a different COM2000. Don't hink I fancy shelling out for one on the off chance.

traction control is unnecessary on the 406, the only reason it exhists in the first place is to make cars with bad chasises handle better, but since the 406 is spot on its not needed.

theres somewhere to let me change the engine from petrol to diesel. Never knew it was that easy, always thought you had to get a heavier engine block and other bits.
