Thanks for the info, think it would be hard going to find a 2.2 hdi exec estate on 54 plate.

I've had my T5 Volvo exactly 2 years now (just sailed through its MOT today) and have had not one single problem. If the sub-30 mpg puts you of then there's always the D5 which is quite fruity.

Having said that the BMW Diesel is superb as I understand.

Newest exec I've seen was a 53, you might get an 04 SE - & just have to remember the seat position yourself.....
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

The SE is a nice trim level, not far off Exec spec; the half leather seats are very nice, are quite rare, and are highly sought-after. You can bring it up to full Exec spec without too much difficulty, I gather
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD :(
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

SE has some bits that my exec didnt, nicer door handles, a nicer gear knob, i believe the exhaust tip is stainless steel, and best of all the silver effect dash, with white speedo dials and chrome rings.
