I thought they all had the FAP now. Does it say anywhere that it doesn't have one or does it just not mention it at all?

Very nice car there!

Starting to come round a lot recently to the 407.

It looks well, the design has aged well, looks contemporary and it is hard to believe that the model is getting replaced this year.

The 406 in comparison looks like a facelifted 405

Bit sad that Ive got to let the 406 go as I love it but hopefully my brother is buying it so atleast I know Ill get to see it every now and again.

I have the 407 2.0 136 HDi SE 2006...it does have the FAP system and you must use compatible oil when you fill it with oil.

My car has done 44,000 and has been great except for it needs a new dual mass flywheel costing lots of money. £800 quid for the bits retail, cost me £590 including clutch, trade.

My mate was supposed to be doing the job for me this weekend but he's let me down....now I have to do it myself on sunday

jasper its the x-line not the se, but as i understand it still has the Fap only the zenith doesnt, your spot on about the oil and sadly the clutch is a weak link on these cars, mine was changed at about 30,000m luckily under warranty

Hi trem, thanks for the clutch/DMF price, but the 2006 model changed DMF and mine is the later type which is not yet available from LUK/Valeo, it's only a dealer part unfortunately.

I have an LUK dealer just around the corner, the earlier one can be bought for £430 from them, including the clutch.

I have a mate who works at the local main dealer, he got mine for me at their cost price as a favour.

I wish mine was under warranty, I tried to get Peugeot to pay, but they offered only 25% of the retail cost which would still have cost me £900.
