No, it's the same block.....
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Pretty sure it requires a separate ECUCaptain Jack wrote:You can turn traction control on? Does it actually work?
Basic TCS (unlike the ESP on coupés which can brake individual wheels) is utterly brilliant in snow and when aquaplaning. More advanced systems like those found in high performance cars do much, much more and is definitely not to do with bad chassis design. Think scooby/evo/ferrari/911 etcFarmerPug wrote:traction control is unnecessary on the 406, the only reason it exhists in the first place is to make cars with bad chasises handle better, but since the 406 is spot on its not needed.
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

those cars 911, enzo, imprezzas, they dont even come close to the fine chasis the 406 has placed inside it.
perhaps they do, but we all like to think the 406s handling is the best.
