Another Hello

Post by Catflem »

Evening Gents

I've just picked up a 2002 Rapier Estate HDI 90 at auction a couple of hours ago, so I thought that I'd better join the club.

Hi Lee & welcome to the forum 8)

Not so common for you Sassenachs to be enjoying Bonnie Scotland - its more common for us lot to be down south.

I'm based in NE Scotland, although I'm a Londoner by birth.

Cheers

There's gonna be a bargain in there somewhere! I'll start the guessing at.......£850.00?

Lower

Hammer price £500, plus £48 indemnity :cheesy:

The weather was horrendous on the drive home last night, and the drive home consisted of very twisty B roads that I don't know, so I couldn't push the 406 as much as I'd have liked, but the handling and cornering are streets ahead of the Volvo V40 td that I recently owned. I think I'm going to enjoy owning the 406.

I've now got to spend a few hours pushing buttons to find out what they do (no owners manual), and then do some research into diesel tuning boxes

I used to hate driving it, but for 5 years it did exactly what it was bought for, which was to ferry us around as cheaply as possible over long distances. There was a really nice T4 at the auction last night that I was sorely tempted to buy, but with fuel costs being what they are at the moment I reluctantly decided to give it a wide berth.
