Battery chargeing

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Yes its the HDI, its on the badge on the rear. I will have a look to see if I can see anything that tells me if its a 110 or not.

Sorry for the delay in coming back to you all. Firstly I just hooked my battery charger on without disconecting the battery and it was ok with nothing burning out. Phew. I have looked and there is no sticker on the post next to my door. Not the end of the world though.
Thanks everyone for your posts.

Had an old ZX with an XUD engine that had no turbo.

Early Xantias (93) could be specced with non-turbo XUDs.

They are slow but very rugged (in that there isn't much to go wrong / get overly stressed by speed).

In my posts (all of them) I keep forgetting to say that although the car (metalwork/body) is a 1999/2000 406hdi desiel, the engine was changed before I got it. I do know that the engine is out of a Citreon Picaso 2ltr, a 2002 model. It had only done 42000 miles. With this in mind I hope the same advice still stands concerning stuff I have asked about.
Thanks everyone.
