hi all newbi just got my self a 406 2.0 8v turbo wot a car 10800 males on the clock got it 4 £560 didt no thay was a turbo petral. put a dump valve on it boost gage going in tomoz will had pic soon :D

Congrats on buying a 406; you're right, it's an awesome car, and you get a lot of car for your money.

From what it looks like, I reckon you've got the "performance car" bug, and so you may well end up being disappointed with it; the 2.0 8v turbo engine just isn't built for hard tuning, which will be why the previous owners didn't notice that it had a turbo in the first place... The engine is rated to about 150HP from the factory, but will probably have lost a bit of that grunt over the years. You will be able to get a bit more performance out of it with some gentle modding, but be careful.

Also, you'll want to check the timing belt, tensioners, and water pump have been changed recently; if any of these components fail, your engine will not thank you...

im not a fan of petrol engined cars but hear the 2.0 turbo 406 is a good car.. good luck with it 8)

well put my boost gauga in to day and its boosting at 10 psi. i turnd it up by half a turn that will do dont wont to kill it :cheesy:
