Lowering a 406

will lowering the 406 by 35mm make the wheels rub wen the car bounces over steep bumps
or if i have 3 adults in the back ?

should be fine gary but if ur worries then put a lower profile tyre on it.

those are the springs i bought (not fitted yet)

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

i have a 60 tyre on atm.

205/60/15 from a V6

i will wait and see. gonna get it done in summer i think and if it rubs i will get lower prifiles on
maybe 55 or 50

im gonna go with a 55 so the ride wont be affected to much

looks, lowering it 35mm will make it look that bit better

its not about the speed or handling , since i had front springs done last year the front of the car looks like a 4x4
and i dont like it,

Im looking to get some springs soon as well mate. Hoping it'll be soon but not sure as getting my cambelt done this month (cars are a money pit arent they).
I will get it done and see if theres any rubbing etc

its easy and cheap to lower a car, :arrowd:

heres what you need 2 bags of sand in the boot b& q cheap for this,
to lower the front just pick up a big bird :twisted:

nah mate the Springs are Masssive on the fronts you wouid be needing something like er ... let me think, Youtube half ton mum shouid lower it perfectly 8)

hey new here also looking to lower my 406 around the 60mm mark.. and was told peugeot 306 front struts..if that possible then i would be able to fit coilovers to front of my car with the possibility or needing a heavier spring which i have any way from a friend who races a stock car has an assortment of new springs for coilovers all different weights. rear not a problem as i have 55mm lowering springs for 406. and also 2 seat toledo springs which with good shocks (kyb gas :supafrisk: ) should lower it 65mm?? according to a local?


am new here and only 20 so pleasee dont rip me apart :)

Nissian almera (demo derby car)

406 mods.. HID Lights..yokohama c.drive tyres...
To do..Lower 60mm paint wheels pink or sky blue :)

Remember folks am only 20 :P

would of thoght that but previous cars all bin lowered that or more :oops: its a strange car culture in northern ireland the lower the better and jus wandering if the 306 strusts will do with 406 top mounts?

not sure about the 306 bits.

wont the police have something to say if you lower it so much..

you need to find out the legel ride hight before you do ..
