I've Broken Me Collarbone :(

Post by GeordieBoy »

Been to north east motor show all weekend camping drinking from 8am sat 3am sun then went to sleep in sleeping bag. some daft twat having a laugh pulled me while asleep along the ground. so i woke up and chased after him to kill him when tripped landed on me shoulder so got up and went for him again only to trip again. sad.gif back at hospital again soon to see if i need an op on it. going on hol 30 sept so gotta be sorted for then, so i might just ask for op if it means healing quicker.

back from hospital now, had to stay in overnite and had an op last nite to put a plate and screws in me collarbone. It was too badly damaged to let it heal itself. so i should be fine for me hols in 7wks.

Blimey Geordie, that was some fall you had - I suppose the Alchohol acted as aneasthetic [/spelling]

Hey, when you go on holiday you will set off the airport metal detector with those pins then once you've tried to explain and failed they will give you a FULL body search Eeeeewww

Ouch, least it should be ok for your holiday. If it isn't I can take your place if you like lol

When I broke mine, it was the day before my motorbike test.

UPDATE 17 AUGUST:
Had me stitches taken out (they were just the paper kind of strips). Nurse says everything looks fine, I'm a good healer as wound looks lovely. Still bruised and swolen tho, but that will prob go within a few weeks. She quite impressed with the movement I got already after just 10 days after the op. Next appointment is to see the consultant/surgeon at hospital on 31st August. May need to do physio but as I can move it quite a bit now I poss wont have to.

Oh girls, that is what 4" looks like.

Update 24 August
A week to go until I see Consultant/Surgeon and it seems to be healing very well. I can move it quite a bit and drive ok now as well. Altho I have been driving for last 2 wks. Got a spot or something at end of wound which is quite sore, might ask em to cut that off. Pain isn't too bad, except for nite time when goto bed, so I take strong painkillers then which knock me out for most of the nite.

Flippin eck Geordie, looks like it's been cut open with a broken bottle not a sterile scalpel [spelling?].

Was the nurse, like, nice?

I went for a 'Well Man' check last week and the nurse was older but had nice legs, anyway she told me to relax and think of something restfull whilst she took my blood pressure. The trouble was I could see quite high up her thighs as the uniform had parted slightly

Consequently my pressure reading was a bit eratic

Some of the nurses were very sexy, 1 had to change me kegs for me and put on the shitty see thru 1's the hospital says you gotta wear for the OP and crappy socks. I bet she had a good look ;). When I woke up from OP, had tube pulled out me throat I heard someone say its ok its fixed the way you wanted it (They were only gonna move the bone into position, but I asked for plate and screws for a quicker fix) I then shouted you bastards, put me back under I was dreaming I was shagging this stunning blonde bird with massive breasts lol. Everyone pissed themselves laughing, inc a nurse from the ward who was holding me hand. Once back on the ward, everytime the nurse came in she couldn't stop laughing and so other patients asked her whats up so she told em, everyone pissed themselves. Was so funny, I asked her to pull curtains and get into bed with me, but she said she couldn't as was on duty. :(
