"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Gary unless there is a somewhat nefarious past attached to you, you wont be doing any type of custodial sentence for fraud of 315 quid even IF you are found guilty, take the offer of a duty solicitor if it is made, you dont have to stick with that solicitor if it goes to court you can choose somebody else if or when it goes further. The only drawback is you will have to wait for them to attend, but if you are in there at a reasonable hour during the day it shouldnt be too long, all mine were middle of the night when pissed off punters made unfounded complaints about my style of "trash disposal" for me it was over 30 arrests and not a single charge in 12 years mate

Good luck mate, but as an aside trust me 18 stone and can handle yourself dont mean sh*t if you do go inside :|

I'm still feeling glad that I don't have an ebay account :|

I don't think you'll get a lot of grief over this mate, common sense should prevail and you have given the guy his money back. I don't suppose anyone is helping you with the goods that vanished? so you're the one at a loss here :frown:

yep your right, i wanted to make a formal complaint last week when i got arrested but the officer told me

you cant yet because your under investigation .

just had a phone call from pc brownlow at wigan police station ,i explained to him my grandma is lending me the 265 quid to pay him back because of the upset is causing me and my family.
once ive been to the bank today and put the cash into the guys account i have to ring the officer back .
he said once ive done that he will try get it put to rest today..

so things are looking up .. once its dropped should i complain about the missing item or leave it

after all they probably wont do sh*t all about it.

The Police won't do b*gger all about the missing item, and unless you've got proof of posting and you also insured it, the post office will tell you where to go as well.

Ebay isn't a bad place to trade, you've just got to keep your wits about you, and make sure that you follow the rules to the letter. Always send stuff you've sold via a signed for delivery service, and NEVER allow someone to pay you for something via paypal and then allow them to collect it (You have no proof of posting/delivery, so paypal will automatically find in their favour).

If you do post by Royal Mail at the post office, ALWAYS ask for proof of postage (send it recorded delivery too for added measure) and ALWAYS keep the receipts the post office give you. That way you can prove you've posted the item and it isn't your fault it's gone missing.

At any rate, and back to the original topic, I can vouch for the Aspire netbook; they are great little machines for people who only want a PC for surfing the net or a quick bit of document editing; they're MUCH lighter and smaller than a normal laptop, they have decent battery life on them with the supplied three-cell battery, and you can even buy a third party battery that has six cells and provides even longer life. Great for keeping kids/wifely persons amused on long road trips, especially with the 3G modem.
