I do drink super unleaded but the car will run on 91 Octane minimum
sure it may only have 70bhp on that stuff but it still won't be pinking
I may have to switch to 95 if it gets too silly but I've never used the stuff, oh I have, I put in £5 once as an emergency to get me to a proper petrol station

Sorry to shoehorn this one in but it's the last one:

Hmm, photobucket no likey
PSP
Animation Shop.
Anyway, back on topic, the price of FUEL is getting ridiculous again and the worst thing is, apart from the greedy oil companies making way too much money out of it, if we all use less the government will just increase the taxes on it so they're still creaming the same amount off us for, er, whatever it is they do with all our money.

Took me a while to find an LCD font but Excel (cells make lining it up easier)Gary406 wrote:lol how do u do that

Re: Fuel prices forces sale :(
i thought the government is to introduce some thing to lower the price, or something to make it cheaper for people living in rural areas. Yipee at last the smell of manure, the lack of people to talk to, and the bumpy roads might pay off.

I wouldn't hold your breath. It'll probably end up as a discount voucher for cheaper bicycle tyres. Or they'll redefine rural areas so the only person that qualifies is that seagull that sits on Rockall when the tide goes out.

Re: Fuel prices forces sale :(
I do think though that fuel prices need to increase somewhat.
I'm not a subscriber to the global warming myth, but I can see that fuel is running out, and the oil companies are starting to drill for the dregs in the likes of deserts, the arctic and the gulf of Mexico (hence the BP spill, oil drilling is getting more dangerous). Economies such as China and India are increasing their demand on what little is left, their huge populations now want to join the car ownership club.
We need to ween ourselves off the stuff, whether this is hydrogen fuel cell, methane, biofuels or some sort of swappable battery pack (swap the battery pack at a garage, similar to a gas cylinder).
I swapped my 20mpg Alfa for a 406 diesel, not because some hippy said that the natural climate cycles were man made (did cavemen drive V8s at the end of the last ice age?) but because I was concerned that oil is becoming evermore scarce.
When we realise it's running out, there will be chaos on the streets.

That winter shambles where no-one could get anywhere because of the snow and the water cut off and wasn't restored for weeks would be nothing in comparison.
Danders off to convert the hdi to run on veg oil and spaghetti hoops...
