febi car parts

Post by jasper5 »

Today I had a look at the new suppliers that my local factor has just become an agent for, they came round to his shop with an exhibition van showing off their range of quality parts......Have a look at what they sell, it might be useful.....They supply parts for all vehicles.

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Did you fit the solid one or the other?

406 with aircon should have the solid pulley fitted.

In the top right there's a map of the world, under that there's a pull down list which says "Deutsch", if you click on it the next one down on the list is "English". Unfortunately there's no option for "Plonker" :P

I tend to get my stuff from EuroCarParts, seem very helpful.

Tried GSF once, guy behind the counter didn't seem to give a damn. I can see why it was empty whereas ECP always seem to have a bit of a queue.

Then there is my old local motor factors, another helpful man, they call themselves Motorcraft although they no longer are affiliated with the parts business of Ford.

I've just been to see my buddy who runs the car spares and garage, he says he uses Febi already, they're ok, nothing special. Oh, and thanks for the link to their catalogue :cheesy:

Well I was just giving folks an alternative when looking around for parts.

I'm fortunate where I live, I have a dozen factors and every main agent for most mainstream cars within 5 minutes drive, including 2 Ford dealers.

The other dealers being about 12 miles away, but they all deliver to my door.

The febi guy I spoke to agreed with me that with the 406 you must fit the solid crank pulleys, otherwise they will fail sooner or later.

I don't see why you can't learn to read German  :D
