to anyone who read my other post and was talking about bio diesel and sh*t stuff having water in , my mate " chug " has just passed these links over , he has been making bio diesel since 2004 , and says these are 2 best sites on the net , ps the wiki answers one is chugs ;-) .

yeah free water in diesel or biodiesel will feck your injection pump up for sure.

I've posted the link to that forum loads of times. HDi can use Bio, but 1.9TD will run perfectly on just Veg.

Water settles after awhile to the bottom, so only use the good oil at the top. Some people heat it up, then drain the water as it settles.

ive been told the hdi will run on bio but it runs shite,
and theyve been known to stall and throw up the eml ,

theres not many about running hdis on bio so ithink iwill pass on it till ifind other people thats running hdis on it that can confirm no breakdowns,
dont fancy taking the risk as somedays the car does 700mile journeys

Load of rubbish, well made Bio will be perfect for HDi's, quite a few ppl on that forum run HDi's on Bio and have done for many years.

Join up on that forum and ask for info on bio in HDi's, plenty of ppl will tell you what its really like.

its been talked about before, unless its 100% proper bio dont use it in the HDi...

Yep the emphasis is on "well made" Bio. They are tests to do before you put into car, and see if it is within the tolerences of "well made".
Well made Bio should run perfectly on almost every vehicle. Pump Diesel, often now contains 5% Bio, think it will have B5 written somewhere on the pump.

ithought id try some bio in the car tonight ,

well all was well until 5miles later car as been towed back & pushed in garage

A warning as apeared on the "mfd" but its un-readable as the screen is cracked,

wished ileft it alone now but £20 for a full tank was too tempting,
will drain it all out tomoz & hope the pump & injectors arnt fubard, if they are iwill scrap it

nah dont scrap it, sure you can pick a pump up and sum injectors second hand ....

just trying to work out a quick way of draining the tank now hopefully it dont have anti-syphon.
ive drained the filter & it dont smell of anything , im thinkin water build up,

My mates runnin on same batch no problems but thats a citreon zx thingy

best way drain your tank. remove back seat . access tank there were lift pump is located .

i think thats best way. not sure if you will cause a disturbance to the pump tho ..

ive got an electric pump somewhere off an old petrol car iwill see if ican take the fuel pipe off and drain it out with the electric pump,
idont fancy touching the lift pump but if all else fails iwill syphon it out from there,
