the mercedes 190 cosworth was intened for group b? then it was banned and the 190 was left a bit redundant.
Why did group b stop, i wasnt around to enjoy it.

Group B was stopped because the cars were getting way too fast & powerful. If memory serves, I think there was also a massive accident in which quite a few spectators were killed which hammered the final nail in the coffin.

Spectators love to get close to the action, and as the group b cars were fast as feck, one of the drivers crested a ridge to find a wall of spectators in his way
Despite braking he injured 31 and killed 3
Wasn't it Toivenen(sp?) who crashed, and due to the remoteness it took 30mins for the rescuers to get to the scene to find a charred shell and two skeletons inside
