D8 Coupe vs Normal D8 406 wiring looms?

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

I do like your spirit though, and it wouldn't be the first re-engine of the Coupe - I remember reading about someone on the Coupe Club having transplanted the engine from a Peugeot 405 T16 (2.0 litre 16 valve turbocharged XU10J4TE engine, developing 220 HP or so) into a Coupe shell. I don't think that person "got a visit".

And there's the guy with the V6 Coupe putting in a second V6 in place of the rear seats, for true four wheel drive and masses of power. No Coupe Club lynching for him either :)

The insurance for a complete re-engine job would be a real nightmare though; it'd be a real kick to the groin to buy the car, the engine, and transplant all the bits across, and to fire it up and for it all to work, only to be told by some greasy insurance arse-face that you owe them an arm and a leg before you're legally allowed to use it, even third party only.

The 2.2 HDi is a good engine and, with a little bit of work, can be made to be super-quick (all that diesel torque!) and economical to run.

If you're that desperate to make something unusual, why don't you get an old 306 cabrio & do a diesel conversion on that?

Of course, you do still have that Eaton supercharger - you could do something extraordinary and fairly unusual with one of those, I bet 8) I don't know of very many supercharged Coupes...

Someones just made a supercharged XUD.... I'l see how that goes :P
XUD because I want to run on Veg oil. Brentacre will insure me on an XUD coupe for the same as a top of the range XUD 406. I've already asked :) But I'l have a BHP limit of 150...

Oh how will I manage?

I still struggle with the logic - even if you do save £1 a litre, you'd have to cover about 30,000 miles to make up for the additional cost, that's without allowing for the 5% or so power / mpg reduction for veg oil and the 10-15% higher fuel consumption of an XUD. :?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

I hate HDi engines... I hate engine management! Bring back Carbs and dizzys :P
I'd rather have chlamydia than a HDi
I found a 406 Coupe 2.0 Petrol for £200 with a nackered engine but it only has A/C. No climate control etc.
