the s class has perhaps too much adjustments for opening the boot.
But im sure them extra adjustments are just some sly dig at lexus, probably another one than the ls600 has so its like mercedes giving lexus the middle finger and saying ha we were here first, stop copying us.

"No I don't."

"Yes, you do, everybody does. It's part of the shape of the Universe.
I only have to talk to somebody, and they begin to hate me. Even robots
hate me. If you just ignore me, I expect I shall probably go away."
He jacked himself up to his feet and stood resolutely facing the opposite
direction.

"That car hated me, " he said dejectedly, indicating the peugeot 406.

"That car?" said Ford in sudden excitement. "What happened to it?
Do you know?"

"It hated me because I talked to it."

"You TALKED to it?" exclaimed Ford. "What do you mean you talked to it?"

"Simple. I got very bored and depressed, so I went and plugged myself
into it's external computer feed. I talked to the BSI at great length,
and explained my view of the universe to it, " said Marvin.

"And what happened? " pressed Ford.

"It committed suicide, " said Marvin, and stalked off back to the
Heart of Gold.

Marvin: And then of course I've got this terrible Anti-Poluttion Fault in the ECU.
Arthur Dent: Really.
Marvin: Oh, yes. I mean, I've asked for the sensors to be replaced, but no-one ever listens.

Marvin: Do you want me to sit in a corner and rust or just fall apart where I'm standing?

MTPA: I can do it at a moment’s notice. Just say the word.
FP: Just cool it.
MTPA: I think I'll go and hide.

I remember my uncles mk3 Granada seemed amazing because it had an icon of a car, with individually lightable door icons. Quite advanced for the 80s!

Wow! that's a posh example, a/c an' everything. I used to like those lickle joystick audio balance / fader gadgets they had, but my most abiding memory was of them being one of the first cars to offer the combination of 5 speed gearboxes and utterly gutless engines.

In 1985, two of my mates had them as company cars, one had an early 1.8 (which couldn't really pull the 2.0 diff ratio it cane with) and the other had a mighty fleet special 1.6 E-max version. On overhearing them avidly comparing notes, one asked, 'does yours have a 5th gear'? When the other replied, 'oh yes', I couldn't help myself and pointed out that having driven it, I was sure it had at least 3 fifth gears.

I notice the one pictured above definetly says '4' on it - maybe it's a v6?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
