Post by sirwiggum »

Just for FarmerPug

Looks slightly less of a blobfish

And they're onto a winner with the 408

The 308 is worse looking still looks like a blobfish just with a facelift, now it looks more evil.
The 408 looks like a beetle made into a saloon, its hate it. I really want to like these peugeots but the styling is really terrible.
But where peugoet has ballsed up the styling its sister company citroen are on a role of making great looking motors, the new c4 is fantastic:

You've gotta hand it to them really - wouldn't have thought it was possible.

Fiat messed up bigtime by not head-hunting the Pug design team when they replaced the original Multipla.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

fiat f**ked up big time, they really did ruin the current punto with that stupid looking front bumper as part of the facelift. compare the 2009 punto to the 2010 punto

ah yes the top one is the c4 saloon for the chinese market, the second one is a 206 with a citroen front. Both terrible looking and thankfully not on sale in the uk.

Above is RWD, a Peugeot ROA based on an old Avenger platform

they are irananian. The top one doesnt look too bad but the pars looks like someone has punched the 405 in the nose.
Would RWD make it handle better, the 405 was good enough with FWD, an outdated RWD setup sometimes doesnt handle as good as a well sorted FWD chasis like that on the 405.

Would make an interesting BMW alternative / drift car if they were importable.

Yep a friend saw it and the saloon proposal at the Citroen museum in Paris

http://www.citroenet.org.uk/passenger-c ... xm-16.html

The thicker C pillar gives it a stronger side profile, but doesn't do anything for the proportions. The lights are just wrong though for such a square cut car.

yeah the lights definatley dont suit it, not on a car with them lines.
The saloon was just wrong, but a xm coupe doesnt sound too bad.

A modern day SM?

The proportions may be a bit too long for an XM coupe.
