If I download my ecu file with kwp, and get it defapped elsewhere - I can upload modded file with kwp! Cool!

Just need someone with pp2000 to erase faults - or will detaching battery for some time wipe ecu??

Don't know TBH, I cleared all the faults on mine before downloading the modified ecu file, but I'm sure others haven't bothered...

Can't promise, but it does seem that the majority of faults will clear, (assuming the fault condition has gone), after a number, (3? 5?) incident free 'journeys'.

I have a 406 2.2 hdi that needs to be de-FAP'd, i plan to purchase a galletto clone off ebay and was wondering if i was to do this, would you be able to modify the file for me please so that i can hack that evil FAP crap out of the car?

Seriously driving me nuts, i seem to have developed a case of 'severely-reduced-power-limp-mode-rage'

I can't imagine what you mean, 60-odd BHP seemed fine and there's no torque-steer at all.....

Yes, of course we can sort it out for you. There are several possibilities:

1). You can send me a copy of your ecu file, I can de-FAP it & return it to you - this will give you standard power output and no more FAP nonsense.

2). Depending on the age of your car, there may be a '180 BHP' remapped file that's compatible. (Once you have Galleto you can swap between 136 & 178 horses at will).

Either way, let us know what age / version your car is and we'll sort something out. You will need to PM me a direct e-mail address before I can send you any attachements as you can't do that via the forum, equally you'll need mine if you want to send the file......

No. I've got a well-proven 2002-on remapped file, but the one I have which should work on yours, has not been tested in the UK to my knowledge, but have no reason to doubt it will work.

It's the one under your name / location etc. on the right, with PM on it......

Don't think it matters they all seem to work equally well - I chose a UK seller in case I had problems & paid about £25 delivered, some of the others may be cheaper. Go for 'Galletto 1260'
