Choosing which Clutch?

As of today I believe my clutch is on the way out. Definately felt it slip on the way to work and on the way home again a couple of times. Just want to check with you guys and confirm before I go ordering anything. This morning I went to overtake a slow moving car, I had plenty of road and just kept the car in 5th and put my foot down, the revs jumped up the range and then fell back down and the car started accelerating, almost as if you had hit and big puddle and lost traction momentarily before regaining it. This evening I was driving through town, the car was in 3rd, doing about thirty, I pressed the accelerator a little and it slipped again.

EDIT - Having come to terms with the fact I'm needing to replace the clutch I went to the garage this morning and booked my car in for thursday, I now have a choice to make on what clutch to go for. I see Transmech and Sachs clutch kits on Euro car parts for two very different prices, the Transmech retails at £75 and the Sachs at £143, quite a difference. I asked my mechanic and he says he put a Transmech clutch into a car a couple of years ago and its gave no problems so far, so I'm left wondering what to do. I do believe that you get what you pay for, so I'm still tempted by a dearer clutch especially as I want to go for a remap at some stage and want something which will stick the pace. He mentioned a couple of other makes to me and said he'll get me prices for them on monday. What would you guys recommend I go for?

Valeo/LUK are the genuine clutches fitted, they seem resonably priced.

I personally would pay a little more for a decent one, especially if your keeping the car, You can get drivemaster ones from Andrew Page for around £60 (my dad did fot his HDI 110) but as far as I know they are reconditioned old clutches

dont get a cheap one, i made that mistake asking a fuckin cowboy mechanic

he did the whole job for 180 quid, surely he used a 50 quid clutch ... maybe even a recon ...

if it was me paying again for a clutch i would supply it and buy expensive.

the 90 has no dual mass flywheel, so the clutch's are cheaper as u dont need to replace the dmf at the same time
