I'm totally stumped, to the point where i'm annoyed at myself for not being able to find the fault
ihad the same problem with another pug mate,
thats why iwas askin about the water,

the pug ihad problems with ichanged everything icouid,
then to find the problem was it was "spitting" a fine leak in the headgasket .

might not be that on yours tho :?

maybe best if you got a code reader on it to see if it is electrical,

they'le be no running around the street naked chaps, problem is still not fixed

spend today Changing fuel filter then completley removed throttle body and cleaned it all thorougally with carb cleaner, and still no better

Getting really close to removing the 7 seat conversion and scrapping it tbh :( Really would be a shame as the bodywork is really clean

Anyhow will know more in the morning as its in the garage getting plugged in to see what faults come up

Would a dodgy throttle position senser or failing coil pack/crank senser cause it to do this??

Hi Chaps

Just spoken to the garage who have had the car since Saturday, They think it's the MAP sensor

Had a quick look on ebay and they seem to be going for around £40

Hi Chaps

Just spoken to the garage who have had the car since Saturday, They think it's the MAP sensor, although the car would'nt communicate with the diagnostic equipment they've had to borrow another one for a definitive answer

Heres hoping, I can live with a faulty MAP :)

Well chaps, just got the car back, all repaired and purring like a kitten, was defo the MAP, It threw up the fault straight away

I'm chuffed, and in a way not as I only instructed the garage to diagnose the problem and agreed to pay for just that (£35) in the end it cost me £95 including a new MAP (although the garage is next door to my local scrapyard so I wonder if its from a scrapper) as they'd repaired it then rang me

cheers for all your advise, mucho appreciated :)
