Outside Temp Thermistor

i've just bought a D8 temp display unit. the plug and wires are all there behind were it fits..

i want to get outside temp thermistor so i can retro fit it... once the display arrives .. it was only 8 quid so worth a try

calling omega does your D8s have the temp display , next to the hazard light switch ..

if so can i buy the thermistor off the car .... its located inside the passangers side wing mirror ...

well after using steves vin number on service box ive found out that the temperature probes are £21

so might get one from the stealers ...

will the temperature probe be the same in d8 and d9s ?

Yes they are the same
I need to get mine sorted, I'm sick of it telling me it's 50c outside!

im off to scrap yard in 30 minutes .

temp probe. if theres 2 teamy i will get you one mate. also be handy to have the spare glass from the mirror. im sure that will find its way into my toolbox

i also need a bumper bolt - the ones that go behind the peugeot and 406 logo at the top £18 that bolt from dealers

well there was 2 teamy.

had 1 in my pocket ready to pay.

went to the 2nd car. only the guy spotted me playing with the mirror and stopped me.

he wouldnt let me take the probe out he said he wanted £30 for the whole mirror and he would not split it

does your probe stick out the bottom of the wing mirror ?
i've put im in place and it kinda sticks out . meaning wind blast wont make a difference .

so i have a plan to put it under the subframe or possibly on top of the subframe

so i dont have to run wires into the wing mirror

Yes it does, about 5mm or so.
