you need the metal bracket that bolts to the bumper with the fogs out.

when the fog is off you need to bolt a bracket to the bumper so you can then bolt the light to that bracket

ive bloody forgot it , so im on my way 30 miles now for the feckin brackets.. oh and a relay the guy said i can take for free

Thank you for the information

I have been trying to work out the relay location for some time...
I now have pretty much the information I need to retrofit my front fogs

but i do have a couple fo questions as my garage tells me the wiring is not pre-equipped.

However, (It is A 1996 1.9DT LX) the peugeot service box says my vehicle has the front fogs pre-wired and on my inspection i have the 2 xfuses and i see wiring connectors where the front fogs would be. I have now sourced the relay required.

I cant recall if there was wiring connector where the switch should be under the steering wheel (my rear fogs are on the central dash and I believe its RPO number means that I expect the switch wiring to be under the steering wheel and not to the stalk).

Can one re-route the wiring and have the fog switches on the stalk?

maxxymillian, the fascia under the steering wheel is of the version where there is only the rheostats and headlight level beam switch. You say you had no wires under the steering wheel. What did you do?

Many thanks for the guide...i belive I can now fit my fogs...just got to source the key/switch and fascia for under the steering wheel.

regards

My cables were wired to the indicator stalk mate(it was a '98 model). The other one we have (a '96 one) has the connector under the steering wheel but was fitted with the black facia and a blank module where the button must be. You have the cables pre layed for sure. If not under the steering wheel then to the indicator switch. Best way i've found to identify where your cables go is by the shape of the indicator stalk. Look back in the thread.

my wires were allready there. its easy to check mate.

jack the car up and look underneith the wheel arch liner. there is a peice of the liner that meets the bumper at the front.
screw it off and you will see a spare plug there.

Many thanks guys

I believe my car may be at around the switch over point.
It was manufactured Apr 06 and apparently was destined for Aus so is the AUs ST spec rather than UK LX spec.

I am pretty sure I have identified the wires and the service Box states that Front Fogs were pre-equipment.
When I check the Peugeot Service Box the RPO number (mine is 7112) says that it goes to the stalk, but the rear fogs are as per RPO 7111 so that's my bet.
Next time Im at home i'll dig around to identify the front fog wiring and then get the relevant switchery.

Many thanks for the advice guys..esp the pics re the relays..that was the one are I had hit the stumps on..now all is clear!

Regards
Doug

one foglight on and working fine with the new stalk.

BUT. the light itself keeps falling about 5mm insode the bumper.. the spring needs to be attached to the light i think to hold it in properly .

but were does the spring go :?

Yes

Can anyone give a diagram or directions of how to fit the fog lamps themselves to the bumper
I looked at it when I bought the bumper but could not figure out the springs...

Its all at the garage getting painted up, and for ease I asked them to fit but as they have advised me that i dont have the wiring (which does not ring true) i expect to have to fit them myself but could not work out how to do it!

thanks

the fog itslef is held onto the L bracket with 2 small bolts.

the bracket bolts to the bumper with 1 bolt .

when you remore the blanking plate from the bumper the bolt you take out is used in the same place to bolt the bracket to .

Thanks for that...
i found the fog itself was not entirely secure and could imagine it "bouncing" on the road.,..

where do the springs attach from and to?

Thanks
