Could be from anywhere really, "the pipe underneath" - would this be the intercooler feed from the turbo? they can leak anyway, quite normal. Otherwise it could be from the turbo (again, they like to weep a bit) or from the main crank seal (runs down and makes it look like the sump is leaking), or it could be the sump....
My 1999 D9 leaked a bit and would occasionally leave a little drip or two on the drive but, really, unless it leaves a mini oil-slick I'd leave it alone - for example; replacing the main crank seal is a clutch-out job

most diesels have the occasional tiny leak so i wouldnt worry.as long as your oil indicator aint going down nothin to worry bout mate.my old mans has always had 1 tiny leak or another
its even worse with a diesel leak.my cars in garage cos o one.it looks terrible on my drive.looks like rivers o the stuff have been pouring out!haha.even killed most o the grass down the middle o the 2 rows of paving slabs it was so bad
