battery charge & low brake fluid.

im getting a battery charge fault showing and low brake fluid,
battery is good brake fluid is full,
alternator is 1 year old battery is good,

anyideas ive checked the wiring to alternator etc?

ive seriously had enough of this car now imight just buy a fresh car and scrap this one,
shame tho as the engine and shell is mint,

but ive had enough of it methinks

battery is new alternator is 12mth old,
its a bsi problem me thinks,

im going to start on the car hunt me thinks, imight get a 306 derv never had anyproblems with my old 306,
these 406s seem to be plagued with electrical problems,

get an XUD scrap the common rail diesel

Im going to check the wiring at the drivers side floor tomoz and see if its down to that:
also im Going to disconect the Blower motor as when the blower is on and headlights is on the blower slows down and dims the headlights,

also im going to pinch /liberate a battery off my mates taxi and try it on the puggy and see if it makes a difference

check the plug on the blower. i bet thats half burnt and shorting out.

The wire that feeds the heater from the ign switch as gone down,
ifed a wire from battery to replace the ign feed maybe that couid be throwing the bsi a wobbler

iwill rip it all out tomoz and see whats going on.

i would never get rid of my 406 because of sum fault.

i like it getting faults then i can find out what and fix it

MOT due april and i know it needs new disc and pads so thats a job for me soon.

play in back wheel but gonna leave it and see what MOT says

just not long got rid of a renault Slaguna, 03 plate because of the same problem except that had brake light problems & speedo problem too,
iweighed it in 11mths mot and 5mths tax went with it,

sometimes ive no paitence for french cars,

i just let it go with the car got rid quick before igot the swan vesta and the petrol out,
it was just one of them cars that needed crushing i splipped up tho in allhonesty ishouida let the Webuyany car.com have it and let them find out the car was jinxed with electrical problems,

icarnt coment much on carcraft as iknow the owner of it,

all ican say is theyve been around many years starting off with being Lada & yugo retailers
people say there a rip off company but maybe thats because theyve bought cars on Hp there always happy enough sighning up for a motor but when it gets too 6mths a year later they moan and slag them off saying theyve been ripped etc but maybe thats because there fed up with forever paying for something thatl take them a few years to actualy own,

just got this from another source:

The peugeot 306 and 406 suffered strange electrical problems where for instance if a fuse blew on a certain circuit or a failed device caused a short it would cause the battery lamp to light.
For instance i had a 306 hdi in that a customer said he was driving on a motor way with the back wiper on then all of a sudden it stopped mid screen and the battery lamp came on. When i carried out a electrical test i found the rear wiper motor had seized which blew the fuse, i disconnected the motor wiring connector and replace the fuse the battery lamp then went out. I replace the faulty motor it was then sorted. I recon you car is suffering from the same problem as i bet if you remove the blower motor wiring plug and checked the fuse box for a blown fuse you will find your battery light will go out. Once you find this just replace the heater blower motor and you will find all is ok as these commonly fail.

The later 306 and 406 had a can bus electrical system a faulty item will short the circuits


so am iright thinking its the Blower motor ?

theres no squeal from alternator so its not a slipping v-belt alternator is good battery is showing a green light in its bubble on top of battery,

if iturn the blower off and on the battery fault charging warning goes away and reapears a day or so later
