I felt the knife in my hand and it squeaked no more
My, my, my 4-0-6
Why, why, why 4-0-6
So before I come to break off the door
Forgive me 406 I couldn't take that squeak any more

my cousin had an uno called it the most uncomfortable c*nt of a car he ever sat in, and it really did have bonkers electrics, hit the horn and the lights come on, the wipers and lights were mixed up and the heater apparently turned off all the electrics.

Iwasnt a fan of fiat,
ive had alot of Alfa romeos but igave up with them as they eat Gearboxes,

the Fiat mare was the best fiat ive ever drove dash and styling is ugly but the Ferrai sounding 2.0 20v 5cyl engine is what made me Get one,

im Tempted to buy another one but an estate this time and throw a turbo in off a coupe, :)

well now after disassembling most of the door, cleaning and oiling the window mechanism, taking out all the electirc window rubbers, cleaning them and oiling them with silicone spray im able to report there is still a squeak. So with desperate problems come drastic solutions, i got my dads stethoscope popped it on and drove the car, held it round the door and the source of the squeak seems to be the top of the door round where the windscreen junction is. i can feel a small bump in this part of the seal which happened when it was removed incorrectly. Ill go to the breakers and test drive a different door seal, but putting my thumb in this place stops the squeak.

thats the case they deform when they come off, and at times just should be replaced.
As for replacing you need to cut a small line to get them in, i couldnt see any other way of getting them in.
