On my 2.2 Sri estate, when I turn the wheel from lock to lock, it seems to have lost it's smoothness. It feels like there is play in the wheels.
Any suggestions at what to look at first?

top strut mounts is the first place id look

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

First thing is to check the fluid level. Then check the strut bearings. Get someone to turn the wheel while you look at the springs. Jerky movement means time for new bearings
