Clicking recirc motor

Post by Coxy »

I have annoying clicking and from reading the forum believe it's the recirc motor as someone described it. Can this be replaced? I don't wish to just disconnect it.

heres a diagram of the heater blower fan under the glovebox mate.

the part you need is number 3 - reduction gear . AKA recirculation flap motor

dealers price . BRACE yourself ----------------------------- £259.93

but dont worry you can get 1 from a scrap car for a fiver :cheesy:

Excellent cheers for that!!! Don't suppose there's an idiots guide for me to use anywhere? Otherwise I'm sure I will muddle through it.

Also a couple of my climate control buttons aren't illuminated anymore. Assuming their respective bulbs have gone? Easy to get and and what bulbs/leds are they?

i dont think there is a guide on the motor . i changed mine 2 years ago before i was on this forum so never did a guide..

its very easy mate. once glovebox is out access is good. you will see it on the left side of the fan ...

best thing to do is go the breakers yard and remove a spare 1st. then you can break things as you go along.
since it doesnt matter on a scrap car..

if you get stuck or cant get to a scrap yard give me a shout . i'm up the local scrap yard most weeks and i will get you one.. and post it

Gary, you're a legend! I may be able to find a scrappy come the end of next week, I will let you know if I can and how that goes. If you are at one before then, I would be very grateful if you could have a look.

Cheers

Just wondering do any other cars use the same one, i.e. other Peugeots or Citreons?

Cheers mate, I'm off work Thursday but being my only day off this week I'm not sure I will be able to get to a scrappy. If I do manage it though I will let you know.

Thanks.
