SRI tubby pistons

I'm sure Ive read somewhere that someone has used vauxhall C20LET pistons but i cant find anything on it now :?: does anyone know?
98, Executive turbo estate in aluminum silver. The stealth wagon! Now departed, New project Xsara VTR-8 in progress, Next Project, 406 D8 / JAP. So will be looking for a 406 again when the xsara is done!

i just researching now Ive got a spare engine.

Poxhall pistons in a puggy :?

Iwouidnt of even thought that was possible :?
wouidnt you have to have rings /shells made ?

wouidnt you have to have rings /shells made ?
rings are rings, the bores of the two engines are the same so the vauxhall rings will be fine, you would use the pug con rod so no problem with shells, mabye have to modify the little end of the conrod to accept the vauxhall wrist pin.

whats the engine code of the tubby??
d9 hdi 90 rapier estate

the sri turbo is XU10J2TE

reason i ask is a chap i know quite well was on about somthing with the XU10J4RS engine, he was gonna use the crank from a xud9te in ths gti6 engine (XU10J4RS) he said somthing abouth because of the throw it would increse the cc to 2.1, this guy is the mutts nuts with pugs he's currently building a high boost charged 306 that should be seeing 350-400bhp, so if ur intressted in building a fast engine from ur spare i'll point u to him and he can give you some idea's
