I had 6 at one time, then got flashed but was offered a course, then got flashed again but I never received anything in the post. That was 2 years ago.

Since then, no more mishaps and old points have expired = 0 points :cheesy:

Depends whether you see a country crammed full of speed traps as a necessary evil to discourage people from speeding and thereby prevent injury, loss or death or yet another disingenuous trick to make money out of the beleaguered motorist.

Gonna do the right thing and put my hands up and say I was driving

Yes it will tick me over to 12 points, at the end of the day my own daft fault for having a heavy foot

Hopefully I will be summonsed to court and I will plead my case, in my defence on the offence on the 16th Feb when I was caught doing 68 in a 50 I was in a hurry to get to hospital as my wife gave birth on the 15th and the little in' was having a few little probs with vomiting

I'm going to request, if possible to go on a speeding awareness course, worse case scenario 6 months, to be honest if I get a 28 day ban I will have got of lightly

99mph in a 70 was bad crack, pretty disgusted with myself for that one  not one of my finest moments

You live and learn I suppose

Least the old girl gets a break if im banned and I can do the few jobs that need doing before she's back on the road

Might even treat her to a car cover :)

I see it as a government that fundamentally distrusts its population devising ever more devious ways to monitor them for compliance to increasingly arbitrary regulation.

So don't write anything down because the bastards will roll it up and use it as a stick to beat you with.

The prettier half got done for 50 in a 40 on an empty 4 lane road out of the City on Christmas week (ie. when the road was quiet apart from the odd lost person looking for a shopping centre).

Got an option of points + fine or speeding course which is marginally more expensive but waives the points.

Felt sorry for her taking the 2nd option, smacks of 1984 "reeducation", 4 hours of some boring lecturer explaining why 29 is better than 31.

Clearly likelihood of accident is unrelated to zeal of enforcement.
