Anyone installed handsfree mic?

Have a new stereo to install with all that Parrot Bluetooth handsfree wizardry. Just wondering if anyone has installed a mic anywhere and if so, where and how have you run the wire through?

I have a mic installed, its above the rear view mirror.

It was there when I got the car along with loads of wires. It has never done anything. I suspect that the wires come down the front passenger side pillar. How you get them in there is a mystery but evidently it is possible.

I have a self adhesive mic (from a Nokia car kit), stuck to the console above the rear view mirror - cable is eased between the console & headlining, then into the gap twixt headlining & windscreen. Then behind the A pillar trim, (which just pops off), then under the rubber seal down the end of the dash & into the area behind the glovebox.
