ECU
Hi if im sellin an ecu what is commonly sold with it, i have the bsi and the ring around the key, and the chip in the key. But where is the immobilizer, is it in one of these components or still another seperate component. The ECU box had the ecu and a smaller brown thing with a plug on it. Is that the immobilizer?

Re: ECU
I imagine there is no physical immobiliser as such - if the ecu & bsi aren't 'paired' and 'unlocked' it just wont trigger the injectors....
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)

2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
