The seat heaters in the Coupe don't cut off if there's nobody sat on 'em

I noticed that today - the Wifely Person had put her one on and not turned it off. The seat was toasty. Mine doesn't work at all; typical :cheesy:

spoke to the guy who i bought ecu kit off. (he's an electrician by trade)

both power cables connect together with 1 feed to battery (20amp)

both heated cables connect together with 1 feed to battery (20amp)

he said 20 amp will be fine.

i worry to much about the fuse rating after the other post. chance of car setting fire.

i just wanna double double check that the fuse will pop if theres a short circuit in the seats :supafrisk:

highlander do the heated seats work with ignition ON or does the engine have to be running like the heated rear windscreen ?

(im hoping you say engine running now because the switches wouldnt light up when i was testing seats in the donar car with just the ignition on. there was no oil in the engine so couldnt start it to test the heated seats)

but the guy assured me everything works 100%

I would think that, due to the heavy power draw for the seat heaters, it might not work til the engine is running. But I am not going to say yes or no, because I have no idea. I'll try to remember to check tomorrow morning before I set off for work.
