Towbar electrics fitting

Post by DaveWhite »

I have just fitted a towbar, that was given to us, onto our 97 Estate. I just need to do the electrics now. From what I can gather, the connections into the loom are done behind the right rear light cluster but how do I get the cable into there? Is there a convenient hole to route the cable through :) or am I going to have to drill one :( ?

Hi,
ipresume you might have to take the Rear bumper off to get at the Gromet - it will be hidden by the bumper,
on my 99 saloon- model 406 there is a Drain hole just abit further forward from where the cd changer sits,
idont know if yours as this or not tho but its worth alook, As itl save you taking the Bumper off,

yes there will be a gromet that you can use. same on my saloon inside rear quater panels there is 2
1 under each cluster. both lead to the bumper .

rear bumper off to get good access to these.

but mine is a saloon. im sure they will be similar with the gromets .
