rest the sump on a trolly jack then undo the top engine mount let the trolly jack down slowly to alow thw engine to drop and tilt foward, next remove the inlet manifold then the exhaust manifold and the downpipe of exhaust, and oild feed and it should come off from the top iirc
or just take the engine out.

if thats how hard it is to take a turbo out, ie not very whats the fuss all about. Why is there stories of £1000 to fix them, or is that just on Beemers which if the engine sucks swirl flaps id expect that to be cheap
i have dont a few pug turbo's and thats how i do them most just try to do it from underneath the car and thats the hard way.
bear in mind it can turn into an all day job if you've not done one before

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Id say it would easily do.
My problem is i dont have a trolley jack, to get your pipes for example i used a forklift and lifted the car up, built it up on bricks so i could get under it, well not under it i just put my arm in, trusting bricks isnt safe. But a good car lift is what i need.
Does the HDI turbo go often? Is it worthwile taking it out?

hdi one does go but on high milage if it not had the correct oil or too little oil.
you could get a nicer price for the whole engine complete with the turbo i suspect.

I dont think this engines worth breaking, 161k miles and the fuel problem.
The exhaust manifold i think is it, the top pipe on the back, wow that was full of sh*t, i can see how cleaning these out improves performance, this thing had at leas 3mm of thick sticky black crap lining it, just come off with a rub of the finger. Is degunking this pipe easy, if i wanted to take it out right how do i do it, to the good car.

remember farmer p its a hdi and the norm is for em to do 300k plus miles
that engine is worth w few quid to someone that need one, id take off the turbo and the hp pump and sell it as a bare engine gotta be worth somthing like that.

Have you got the front part of the exhaust with flexi and the cat as shown in the pic?

How much and the cost to ship it to West Yorkshire? (PM me if you want.)

it probably does have it but postage for an item like that would be expensive, and its also going to be the original one on it so a new part might be better.
Also im not fond of climbing under this car its held up with a few bricks.

The front and back of the seat can tilt independantly. Your probelm sounds more like a motor, or loose connection.

well the seat ecu clicks when i press the switch but the seat doesnt move.

but when i press down on the arse back bit the seat slides back but it shouldnt slide back.

it should only slide back when you push the switch back .. to slide it back and forward.
