pin number

When i bought my car it came without the "blue card",i have been on the Digital Kaos forum and some kind person supplied me with a pin from my vin number,my question is that i have never seen what the pin is on a blue card,he supplied me with a 4 figure pin with 3 letters and one number,does this sound right just a 4 figure pin?

Probably sounds about right then as other people who asked for pin numbers on the forum had a combination of numbers and letters,i just was'nt sure how many digits it should have,hopefully then that has saved me the £20 Peugeot wanted to tell me
