Previous experience with italian cars has made me a little sceptical, ! once had a Alfa 155, was a lovely car to look at and drive, just turned out it had no floor when I took it for an MOT, and it was only 9 years old
Roy mate,
Puntos always fetch good money even if theyve no tax or mot,
even old mk1s are still good sellers and bring in some amazing prices,

if your looking for a good motor for your mrs id recomend the fiat bravo,

yup there abit ugly on the inside out side is Modern looking but theres plenty of room in them for baby seats prams etc,

the bravas can be made into anice motor and can be picked up for peanuts

check out this site mate http://www.fiatboo.co.uk/

I had a Bravo for a few weeks as a courtesy car when mine was rear ended, I remember at the time thinking it was a cracking little car, If im honest I abused it a bit (as you do with courtesy cars  ) and it never missed a beat

Am I right in thinking, Bravos are 3 door and Bravas are 5?

Thats a good website that lozz, I can see alot of time and efforts been put into it

Its all up in the air at the mo, ideally id like the mrs to get something little, either a Punto or Bravo or the like, so she can get cracking on with learning to drive (especially if I get a 6 month ban as ive totted up 12 points now) as she won't (and can't) drive my 406 as she's terrified as its an estate and she says it feels huge.....which I hear her say alot

Was it not the Bravo was the hatchback and the Brava was the saloon?

What was the one after it that looked quite chiseled? Worked with a fella from Telecom Italia for a couple of weeks who had one as a company car and hated it. But then he had a 3G phone on the dash, watching TV on the Rome ring road

There isint now, I check ebay from time to time as i'd love another one

I think they were better put together than the 156, the later 155's were the ones to have as they had the widebody arches

Mine had 150k on and still pulled like a train, When I took it in for an mot the whole floorpan was rotton as a pear with a split running accross the car under the front seats, I was advised strongly by the mot tested to not drive the car ANY more :(
and even went so far to follow me home in to make sure I didnt drive to fast

The Fiat Coupe Turbo has to have the engine removed at 72000 miles to change the cambelt :o

Guess what kinda mileage they used to get sold on at?

Crickey!

A bit like owning an Evo with its 4,500 mile service intervals - would get a bit tedious :|
