Hi guys, it looks like my 406 is kippered... the Head gasket has gone/head warped/block cracked. But.. my Bosch fuel pump is in good order. So im thinking of ripping it off and fitting it to another car as my 406 loves veg oil!!
My question is.. can i fit my fuel pump to any other 1905cc turbo diesel that isnt a HDI?? Thanks in advance for your help.
Col

Believe it or not, your 406 has a separate ecu to control the pump, so I don't think it will work on anything else.

you will need the fuel pipes off your bosch pump as well.

I'm looking at a 2.1td 406 on the bay... will my Bosch pump fit this? Or do the 2.1's have Bosch pumps fitted already?

Nope. They have Lucas Epic's as standard.
Some people have changed these to Bosch in the interests of running on veg oil, but have used earlier examples from 405's or similar to avoid the need to transplant any electronics.
