How far does your tank get you?

Post by benlowlew »

Hi, Just done a small euro trip and was wondering how far your tank gets your pug. Mine is 2001 1.8 16v. Filled up at Jabbeke in Belgium and travelled to Dunkirk. Ferry to Dover. Dover to Perton, West Midlands. Perton to Worthing West Sussex. Worthing to Dover. Dover back to Jabbeke!!!! A total of 621 miles, a steady 70-80 mph all the way as well and only had to put an extra tenner in!!!! Not bad at all for a petrol I thought. Car only had myself and a load of Tesco shopping in!!! Cant beat English food!

About 700 miles under normal circumstances. Can go to 800 if I am careful.

Normally, around 350 miles - largely because of the stupid amount of traffic in Aberdeen.

When I am going out of town, I can easily go above 500 miles. Haven't done that much out-of-town driving in the Coupe yet, but I bet I could get 600 miles out of a tank with it.

MJB got 707 miles out of his fully-loaded V6 Coupe.

I think that getting lots of miles from a full tank of expensive petrol is overrated Image

easily 600 to a tank. easily.

To be fair, neither have I, but last year on holiday did 530m and was down to 1/4 of a tank
Re-filled it and it had done just the same MPG as normal i.e 41.5
Working that out to a 70litre tank suggests 640mile

Most of my driving is around town here, plus the odd run into Zagreb, the most I've ever had out of it was 1,000km, then I filled it up quick 'cos it had the old "---" in the mfd for aaaages
