my name is paul and ive just got a 2001 hdi estate took me a while to find a decent one :)
hopefully keeping the running cost down of owning a car and being a bit more practical.
by joining this forum i hope to the help i need for any issuses that might come up from you fine people :)
talking of help :cheesy: does anyone have a diagram of the fuse box as the horn
and the cigar lighter dont work (not sure if these run off the same fuse) because
i dont have a manual/handbook to refer to.

Hi Paul & welcome to the site. 8)

The horn has a bit of built-in delay, which can make you think it's broke when it might not be - one of the guys at work asked a similar question about a 307 he'd just bought and when he tried holding his hand on the horn button area of the airbag, it worked after a deley of about 5 seconds. :shock: Worked after about a second on subsequent operations - give it a try. Also, on my 406 only 3 of the 4 'buttons' actually work. :roll:

nice 1 it works a bit strange why it works like that though
when you need to warn someone asap not in 5 secs :?

It's probably down to bad contacts, which they all seem to have :roll: Before I fixed mine I had to lean on it and eventually it'd work. My old light switch was the same, tasking almost a second to got from main to dip. The new one's spot on.
