Hello!
Just found the 406oc forum.
Thought Id pop a post on to say hello and say what I'm upto!
Ive been building modified diesels for a while now and my latest creation is going over the top somewhat.
Basically I'm building a heavily modified 406 1.9TD engine.
Spec consists of:
406 1.9TD Base Engine
Modified Bosch VE Pump (11mm Ford Transit internals)
Overbore to 2.0L
Lowered Compression (21:1 to around 17:1)
Ether injection (to actually get it to start)
Twin Turbos (highly modified RX7 sequential setup with custom manifolds)
Ported and Polished cylinder head
406 2.1TD conrods and pistons (beefier conrods)
Boxer 2.5TD starter motor
Im aiming for around 200bhp, possible more, I have done some custom work for a customer tuning the 306 1.9DT (exactly the same engine) who got 213bhp. I may end up running with some propane and NOS too.
Once this is sorted its going to be dropped into a 305GTX.
Unfortunately Ive got distracted by a Land Rover that needs welding, so as soon as this is done Ill be on it again!!
