yup mate it does what it says it does on the tin,
it repels water,
ipersonaly dont buy it tho as theres a better way
1bucket full of warm water
1 cap full of "Mer car polish"
mix it and throw the whole lot over the car
let it dry and then wipe it all off afterward chamois or microfibre cloths
it does the same job,
also Demon shine is good too does the same job as rain x

Re: Rain-X
I had some for the clio, i didnt like it, you need to be going quick for the drips of water to fly off the windscreen and i didnt like the way it wiped off the screen.

Re: Rain-X
I used to use it on my Scimitars when they were my daily drivers.
It was a great help, but it was only used because 1960's/70's wipers are absoluely crap when compared to modern wipers.
It shouldn't be needed on a 406.

Re: Rain-X
rain x can be used on any car mate . modern or old.craigtd wrote:ive just put some aerofoil wipers on my 406 and they clear the screen great, the type you get on new cars.
especially the rear window on a 406 which hasnt got a rear wiper (mine hasnt anyway)
rain x creates a water proof barrier and helps the water run off the glass better keeping it nice and clear.
thats what it says on the tin anyway. will soon find out. i've yet to put it on .
