You have to feed them, clean shite every day, and call the vets all the time. In the end of the day all you do is work but dont get the value out of them in the end. They dont pay.

Was that horses or politicians?

So we'll have deficit for the next five years, and the total debt will exceed 70% of GDP.
Imagine spending more than you earn every month for the next five years, and at the same time having a credit card balance equal to 70% of your annual salary.
Its like the kiddies have had the national credit card for (in fairness, 8 rather than 13) years and now the grown-ups have got back and have to sort it out.

So things have gone a bit shitty. Should have seen that one coming.

There shouid be rules,

Work and earn or simply feck off,
those that havent earned there way are taking food clothing off old people and the disabled,
those that are working are paying for joe blogs who as a dole card to drive round in a nice bmw,
plasma tv on the wall etc,

what about the disabled people and the old people that have worked hard fought in the forces for our country theyre amongst the workers that are having to suffer,

Most of our trades people are from another country doctors carnt speak english,
corner shops have been taken over even petrol stations,

im not racist but the way theyve let them all in too take advantage of everything anoys me,

up here people carnt get acouncil house because all the the forienghers have come over bought an house and rented it out and theyve got a lovely brandnew council house,

us english are the ones thats going to end up in poverty might as well open your front door and let them eat your tea

I look at it all like this; If 'we' English folk wanted to go live in Poland, Italy, Germany whatever then we'd be expected to comply with THEIR rules - we'd need to speak the language, find or make our own employment so as not to be a burden and work bloody hard to make it all happen.

Come to the UK mind and you get welcomed-in with open arms......."would you like some money?"......."would you like somewhere to live? - we'll pay"....."oh, are they your little children? - here, have some more money". It's crazy.

There needs to be a strict policy of; if you've nothing to offer us then you aint coming in!

Of course, it can work the other way where some lazy-arsed dole scrounging Brits will NOT work for the same kinda money they get doing sod all so 'foreigners' do the work instead

I go to building sites all the time and they are filled with Polish labourers. Why? because our builders had it too good a few years ago and now they wont get out of bed for less than 15 quid an hour. So sites are turning to jolly foreigner instead as they will work for half that.

Lozz i think you are in A-U-L and i understand where some of your resentment is coming from but please try and remember we live in a global village now.

if you had the chance of going somewhere with better wages, better conditions, better health care, better roads, better cars, better social safety net, better education, better climate, an established native language community, a government that offered you the ability to talk only in your own language when dealing with all the free stuff they wanted to give you and a safe and well equipped house with gas, electric, running water and full sanitation, would you take it?

its all only a plane ride away.

if you are from a country that isn't as developed as the UK then this is the option, its not the immigrants you should be directing your anger at, its the policy of your home nation that has brought this about, blame your governments, all of em over the last 100 years (and more) or better still dont blame anybody and start looking for something better somewhere else, England will always be my home but right now it cant give me what i need so i moved to somewhere that can, is that so hard to understand? it is exactly what every immigrant in the uk has done, am i as bad as the "forienghers" you refer to?

This isnt really a rant, im not against freedom of speech and i understand peoples frustration but look at the big picture please, the world is more than the UK and all them other "foreign" lands.

There's bound to be some frustration around when things are tough and we tend to look for someone, or something, to blame - it's a common reaction.

When we're hit financially and feel a loss then we can feel threatened or undermined by others who seem to be squeezing into that train-carriage of the UK which is already fit to burst open.

Moving away is an option but it's not for everyone - Disco how have you generated work over there? I'm not really sure what you do again?..........and have you any vacancies?

Welly, I teach English to Poles so they can come and steal Lozz's job. :P

When I got here 12 months ago, it was hard to get out there and find the work, now 12 months on I have enough contracts to keep 3 teachers busy, in 3 weeks I have another native speaker coming over from the UK for a 12 month contract and I am currently interviewing Polish English teachers for another two part time positions.

I know its hard in the UK thats why I left but why is everybody so fixated on the island mentality, isolationism and xenophobia will cultivate into racism, the rise of the likes of the EDL and the resurrection of the NF are not coincidences, rebranded and renamed but it is still harking back to the 70's, I know hard economic circumstances will always help these types of organisations strengthen, its so difficult for me to watch from a safe distance and not get involved, it is no coincidence that the last time the UK endured hard times similar sentiments were expressed, sadly now though I am old enough to understand.

Edit: reason, once re-read i sounded like a complete tw@t, sorry
