The leon is ugly it looks like a shoe, the dash is a giant flat bit of hard plastic, its cramped, hard to see out of and the diesels sound worse than someone scraping metal. But the whole lineup of seats at the moment share that rubbishness, the exeo is a dissapointing car, yes you feel your in an audi but the seat badge on the wheel reminds you its not quite there.

Although why would he need to drive a seat, the c6 would suit a modern day ronin, taking the place of the xm, or the merc?
The S8 even though its about 14 years old still is a fresh looking design, i see the odd one and i must say they all look very new.

The Leon, Altea, Toledo all look basically the same.
Ibiza is the token hatchback and the Exeo is a second hand A4.

Modern day ronin. Yer woman from here would have the old 5 series, though it would be one of those mid 90s ones.
A8 would be an A8.
The fleet of 605s and XMs would be 607s and C6s.
406 would be 407, until the tyre pressure monitor alerts did his head in, and the turbo on the 1.6 HDi blew.

What I meant was Jean Reno in general. Driving along in a C6 with those circular sunglasses on looking effortessly cool and French.

DeNiro suits driving something like a Lincoln or a Cadillac.

My brother owns a Seat Leon Cupra R. The 1.8 litre Turbo engine is staggering - more HP than the ES9J4S V6 that we all secretly want in our cars.

The rest of the car seems very cheaply-made though, all sorts of creaks and rattles and cheapy-type plastic.

Crumbs, the most French man in the world is Spanish!

A bit like the previous James bond being Irish.

James Bond, the quintessentially English secret agent, has been played by an Irishman (Pierce Brosnan), a Scotsman (Sean Connery), an Australian (George Lazenby), a Welshman (Timothy Dalton) - but only by three Englishmen (David Niven, Roger Moore, and Daniel Craig).

The film "Highlander" was pretty messed up too...

A Frenchman playing a Scottish Highlander Immortal, alongside a Scottish man playing an Egyptian Immortal with a Spanish-sounding name, and carrying an ancient Japanese blade.

I take it that's your favourite film? You have all the tapes? :)

I have the first film on DVD (what are these "tape" things you're referring to?) but the others were a bit pants. The first one is pretty cool, with all the sword fighting, and immortals, and Queen soundtrack, etc.

The forum name is Highlander because I'm from the Scottish Highlands, more than anything else (I was born in Thurso and lived there til 2004 - if you don't know where it is, then you're not alone!) However, because of the film, I can almost never get this forum name when I register on forums.

Know of Thurso, though never ventured that far. It was one of those places on the swoopy 3d STV weather map :)
Lived in Scotland for 5 years and furthest North I made was Edzell.
Mostly central belt.

I see Miller taxis used a 406 with an NI MIL plate :)

On forums I tried the name "Wiggum" because it is similar to my initials. Unfortunately it also is usually taken, so I went for "Sir Wiggum" based on one of those automated suggestion things :)

I mustard mitt to only ever once being in Scotland, I was in Edinburgh for a mate's wedding, the train journey up gave me a migraine and I threw up  Don't tell me, Edinburgh has that effect on some people. And if you think that's bad I've never even set foot in Ireland. Some might even say I'm leaving any plans to do so a little late...

I reckon the film Highlander is one of those rare films that has been damaged by awful sequels ("there can be only one! Oh, and these other ones we forgot about"). Pitch Black is another, I thought it was brilliant until I saw the Ridicules of Chronic and I haven't been able to watch it again since.

Films ruined by sequels are not all that rare, really. Here are some that come to my mind:

The Matrix - original was way cool. Sequels? Not so much.

Indiana Jones - actually, being fair, the first three were just fine. Crystal Skulls? Please someone shoot George Lucas for making Indie discover aliens.

American Pie - original basically redefined the cringe-worthy teen coming-of-age sex comedy (still a bit crap though), yet still not as horrifically awful as any of its many sequels / spin-offs.

The Godfather - first two were classics, the third shouldn't have left the cutting room.

Star Wars - original trilogy (episodes 4, 5 and 6) from the 70s and 80s were pretty good. Prequel-trilogy (episodes 1, 2, and 3) were junk.

Speed - slightly silly but at the same time pretty cool action film. Sequel? Even the ITV voice-over dude who announced it took the piss out of it before it started playing - and deservedly so. Shite.

Blues Brothers - one of my all-time favourite films; classic mix of comedy, car-chases, and brilliant music. Blues Brothers 2000? Well lets just not go there, shall we?

I'll have to take your word for it because I've not seen any of those sequels :cheesy:

The Matrix - Ruined by Canoe. No chance I'd watch another.

Indiana Jones - saw the original when I was a kid, no interest for the others.

American Pie - Looks awful, never seen it.

The Godfather - first two were indeed classics, didn't know there even was a sequel

Star Wars - Saw the first one when I was a kid, not seen any of the others.

Speed - Canoe and trumpet gob? No thank you very much.

Blues Brothers - Oh yes a classic. Didn't bother with 2000 because John Belushi's not in it.

Best thing about Godfather 3 was the Lancia Beta.

The godfather 1 in my opinion was a filim i watched the once to say i watched it but i wouldnt rush to watch it again, it doesnt have the action of goodfellas or the untouchables.

So Jean reno is spanish, he just seemed like the most french person you could think about, but he would still suit the c6.
In a ronin remake 607s replacing the 605s wouldnt work. The close ups of the 605s driving along made them look mean and imposing a 607 you would just think ah ha they have made the bad guys drive a clown.

Maybe something like a Chrysler 300 or Alfa 159 would look more mean.
